What you will do

As a Senior Sourcing Lead specializing in Construction Procurement, you will play a critical role in developing and executing sourcing strategies for construction and infrastructure projects for our Fortune-500 clients. You will oversee procurement for direct and indirect construction-related categories, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier quality, and on-time delivery. You will also collaborate closely with project managers, client stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of procurement strategies while mentoring and guiding team members.

 

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for construction procurement categories, including materials, equipment, subcontracted services, CapEx, and MRO.
  • Lead supplier identification, selection, and negotiation processes, ensuring alignment with project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to forecast demand, set procurement priorities, and align sourcing plans with construction schedules.
  • Conduct RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ) activities, evaluate supplier proposals, and manage bid analysis and supplier scorecards to ensure optimal decision-making.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships, focusing on cost savings, quality assurance, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and legal standards.
  • Utilize procurement systems, ERP tools, and analytics to track spend, measure savings, and streamline procurement workflows.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes by developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), reducing lead times, and increasing efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide junior procurement professionals, fostering a high-performing team environment.

What you should bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Construction Management, or a related field with a minimum of 6-8 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction or a related industry.
  • Proven expertise in construction procurement, with experience in sourcing materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Advanced negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex supplier agreements and drive cost savings while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Proficiency in procurement technologies and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) and the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
  • Excellent analytical skills for creating baselines, conducting market analyses, and presenting actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across functions and levels of management.
  • Strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Very good hands-on skills in sourcing, e-Auction and category expertise in direct and indirect categories across multiple industries.
  • Leadership and mentorship experience, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and develop teams.
