What you will do

We are looking for an experienced IT Contracting professional who brings strong commercial and legal acumen to manage, negotiate, and close complex client and supplier contracts in the IT domain. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial law, excellent problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience with contract management tools and enterprise procurement systems. You will act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage complex IT contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Change Orders, and Amendments.
  • Negotiate client and supplier contracts to ensure favorable commercial and legal terms, identifying and mitigating risks proactively.

  • Provide legal and commercial advisory on IT sourcing/procurement transactions with sound judgment and discretion.

  • Draft, review, and redline contracts independently or collaboratively with internal stakeholders and legal counsel.

  • Support and guide internal teams in proposal structuring, pricing models, and contract lifecycle processes.

  • Review and approve contracts drafted by junior team members to ensure alignment with corporate policies, legal standards, and customer requirements.

  • Develop and implement SOPs, templates, playbooks, and training programs to drive consistency and improve efficiency in contract management.

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and anticipating business needs.

  • Mentor and train contract specialists and associates, including delegation of tasks, performance tracking, and skill development.

  • Utilize contract management tools such as Ariba, ONYX, or SMART for efficient tracking, storage, and reporting of contract data.

  • Contribute to operational excellence by identifying improvement areas in contract templates, checklists, workflows, and metadata management.

What you should bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or a related field (LLB/LLM preferred).

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT contracting, preferably in a corporate legal or procurement function.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial law and IT services contracting, including SaaS, professional services, software licensing, etc.

  • Proven expertise in contract drafting, review, redlining, and negotiation.

  • Hands-on experience with contract management tools like Ariba, ONYX, SMART, or similar platforms.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Ability to work independently as well as lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
